Our Sustainability Pillars

People

We are dedicated to uplifting our local community, ensuring fair working conditions throughout our supply chain, and fostering a positive working environment for all our employees. At the core of our “People” pillar is a dedication to ensuring that fair labor practices are upheld throughout our supply chain. By working exclusively with Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certified facilities, we feel confident that our garments are produced in facilities that meet our standards. We take our responsibility seriously and conduct regular audits at these production facilities to maintain a healthy and transparent partnership. We are proud to support charitable causes dear to our team members by making both monetary and product donations as well as volunteering, aiming to uplift and empower the communities we live and work in.

Product

We strive to increase the use of preferred materials across our product lines, minimize the impact of our packaging, and integrate sustainability and circular design principles into every step of our product development process. We proudly use 100% recycled, FSC certified paper for all our hangtags. To reduce our plastic usage, we have initiated the transition from plastic tags to cotton string for securing our tags, striving to make it a universal practice. Additionally, we have transitioned to use bags made from 100% recycled plastic when shipping our products. When it comes to the materials we use to make our products, we are committed to increasing the use of recycled, natural, and renewable materials. Managing chemical usage is another important aspect of sustainability. All of our styles undergo testing against a rigorous Restricted Substance List (RSL). Additionally, we achieved an OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for one of our styles, one of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. Going forward, we plan to expand our collection of OEKO-TEX® certified products.

Planet

We are committed to managing the environmental impacts of our head office and reducing the amount of waste sent to the landfill. While the impact of our head office is small compared to the impact of producing our products, we believe that it is important to do our part and strengthen the company awareness and culture surrounding sustainability. We recently expanded our recycling program and implemented a compost program to reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill from our office. We have also been actively phasing out the use of single use plastics in our office including water bottles, plastic cutlery, takeout containers, and coffee cups. We also aim to reduce the impact associated with employee commutes by offering perks to employees who carpool and take public transit to work.
